This person can work either in Waltham, MA as first choice or Alpharetta, GA as a 2nd choice.* Job Title: C++/ *LAMP Developer* *Position Summary:* Apply software engineering skills for the development and maintenance of software systems for web based lottery systems. This position requires a well rounded software engineer that is willing to work in any area of the system that requires maintenance or new development. *Responsibilities/Essential Functions* · Develop system requirements, technical designs, and implement logical solutions through the use of structured programming concepts and modern programming methods. · Produce required system documentation such as requirements, functional design specifications and related documentation. · Establish and maintain client confidence by delivering quality system solutions within project timelines and budgetary limits. · Respond to System problem calls (24x7) in a timely manner in order to avoid system downtime. · Interacts and works successfully with other team members as well as other departments. · Collect requirements for, design, and implement lottery loyalty club client / server modules using primarily C++ and PHP. · Work with the design team to implement Flash based games. · Together with the operations team, support the codebase running on the production site, including, but not limited to, being on-call to support production issues. · Work as a self starter in a small, focused software development team. *Position Requirements/Skills & Abilities* · Four year degree, in computer science or related degree. · Experience with C++, PHP and SQL ( preferably MySQL ), on a Linux platform.
