Resolve user-identified functional and technical issues relating to BI reporting services. - Create *OLAP Queries and OLAP Modeling using MDX* to suite Data Mart needs. - Works alongside a team of engineers and responsible for on-time delivery of allocated DW project/project modules. Verify/Validate/QA the teams work to ensure that the team generates high quality output. - Collaborate with Architect/Tech Lead/Center of Excellence teams to follow best practices, standard frameworks and productivity accelerators. - Possesses a *broad understanding* of the DW architecture (Data model, ETL , BI / OLAP Reporting ) - Possess technical problem solving skills *SSAS and SSRS* - OLAP Server configuration - Performance tuning including meta-data skills, analyze cache etc. - Defines documents and communicates the project progress to Tech Lead/Project Manager/ Architect/Delivery Manager *Required Skills :* - Educational qualification: BS/MS degree in Engineering / Computer Science. - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work in a team environment, interacting with multiple groups on a daily basis - Very Good ETL / BI Reports analytical and problem solving skills. - Expert in *SSAS (OLAP Cube Querying using MDX)* & *SSRS* (version 2005 and above) - Experience in atleast 2 *E2E SQL Server DW Projects* - Experience in writing *MDX Queries and SQL Queries* - Good knowledge of Software Development methodologies and tools. - Ability to develop OLAP & BI reporting that is based on good algorithms, with very good readability, maintainability and extensibility. - Good awareness of software vendors, available frameworks and platforms within this technology domain. - Competence in building software based on mult-tier architectures and the associated enabling platforms and frameworks. - High Competancy in *DW concepts* and techniques, component-based design & development. - Understanding of Enterprise system environments. - Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks of ETL and Reporting design and development. - Capable of producing good work estimates for *SSAS & SSRS* work tasks. - Should have basic knowledge on software development models and software engineering practices - Understanding of quality drivers and quality expectations - Focus on tactical development and implementation. - Focus on customer. *Other skills (desired)* : - Experience in SSIS is a plus - Insurance Domain Knowledge is a plus. - Consulting experience with a large multi-national is a plus - Technical Documentation skills a plus - Business Analysis skills a plus - Delegation and time-management skills a plus *Travel:** * - Eligibility to apply for a visa – no prior visa rejections. · International travel to client location for short/long term as needed.
