Position: Project Manager Location: Austin, TX Duration: 2080 hours expected to be completed by 30th April 2012 Client: DOT/ State of TX Description: TxDOT is seeking this Worker to coordinate project activities involved in producing requirements for, selecting, and implementing a Content Management System (CMS) to assist TxDOT with the management of our internal and external web sites. The Worker will be responsible for documenting recommendations/ configurations along with providing knowledge transfer for TxDOT personnel. II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Years Skills/Experience 3 Experience serving on at least 2 large scale web content management deployments. Deployments identified must indicate that Worker was involved through the entire life cycle of these efforts. 3 Experience following standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. 3 Experience in the development and implementation of project communication plans. 3 Experience in the development of project plan to support the completion of the assigned project. 3 Experience using time management practices to estimate activity resources and duration along with ability to develop and manage schedules. 3 Experience working with executive, business and technical-level persons to provide status updates, deal with barriers to project progression, and provided project documentation. Develops documentation to ensure that knowledge transfer occurs before the end of project. 3 Experience in prioritizing, categorizing or organizing data into a format for presentation. 3 Experience with formal development processes and methodologies. 2 Architectural experience with web content management systems. 2 Experience developing written technical material in terms that non- IT professionals can understand (project plans, Requests for Information (RFIs) / Requests for Offer (RFOs), status reports, user requirements, or similar). 2 Experience serving as a facilitator when conducting workshops/ meetings. 2 Experience with the development of process flows using Visio or other diagramming software. Preferences: Years Skills/Experience 1 An understanding of search engine optimization, or SEO. 1 Experience managing web infrastructure. 1 Experience working as a web designer.
