*Job title: QA Tester* *Location: Milwaukee, WI* *Duration: 6 months* Job description: Our client is rewriting the current online billing system, changing from a proprietary vendor package to a new application written in house using open source tools such as Java, jBoss, hibernate, web services, HTML, CSS, etc. Requirements for the project are defined and back-end web services are near completion. Remaining tasks are development of the front end user interface and several levels of testing. Currently anticipation is that the project will be complete in about 6 months. For the remaining tasks, adopting an agile approach to development is being adopted. The candidate for this position will primarily be responsible for writing load performance tests for our new customer facing web application. The tool our client currently has for this type of testing is JMeter. This person would additionally automate scripts identified through the manual QA testing process. Our client’s in-house tool is Selenium. This person will analyze, design, write, execute and maintain automated test scripts. They will work in collaboration with the manual testers to meet quality objectives of the organization. Duties: Collaborate with the testing team members to design and maintain the test automation frameworks Analyze requirements or Use Cases to identify acceptance criteria, testing cases and test scenarios Design and architect modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfy testing requirements. Execute automated tests and analyze results Report, track and determine priority of reported bugs. Manage testing environments, both real and virtual Create documentation for automation processes Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. Work closely with multiple development teams to ensure quality testing practices are incorporated across the development cycle Keep current with advances in automation methodologies and tools. Comply with all company and department policies and procedures. Perform other duties as required.
