Job Title: SQL/SSIS - EDM Designer. Duration: 6 month contract Location: Plano, TX. (Need Locals F2F Required) Top 3 Skills: OLTP Modeling Building ETL Processes SQL This role will be responsible for bringing data in from various external sources and how it will look in the internal Data Warehouse. They will set up the ETL backend process. OLTP modeling and ETL are most important skills for this role. If someone has healthcare experience it will be helpful. Job Purpose: The EDM Database Designer/Developer role will be involved in planning, development, and deployment activities related to the design and implementation of an Enterprise ODS, as well as Enterprise Data Quality Solution with associated management and reporting capabilities. The Database designer/developer is expected to provide technical leadership as well as mentor other team members. The designer/developer is also expected to work with Product Managers to define and clarify requirements, provide design estimates, and support production environments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide technical and architectural leadership in database modeling and configuration. Mentor and develop junior resources within the group. Complete assigned tasks within the agreed project timeline and schedule. Work with the production support group to resolve any service affecting issues that the support group escalates. Internal Responsibilities: Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program. Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts. Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process. Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management. Minimum Qualifications & Competencies: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Database Design and Development in the following environments: OLTP Data Quality Data Ingest and Exhaust through various mechanisms OLAP Data Warehousing Healthcare Experience Proven written and verbal communication skills Proven documentation skills Demonstrated proficiency in using: SQL Server 2008 R2 SSIS Erwin/ErStudio Proven experience working with large data sets and high transaction volumes Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products Job/Functional Knowledge Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary functional and technical knowledge for task completion, keeps job knowledge current, applies knowledge and skills that lead to success in the job.
