Sybase Database Administrator Location: McLean, VA Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension) Required: · Minimum five to seven years of experience working as DBA on Sybase/SQL platforms · Strong experience in Sybase server installation, configuration, and upgrade · Strong working experience with Sybase ASE 12.5.x, 15.x and Replication servers · Good experience on trouble shooting database performance issues · Provide database operations support for production and lower environments · Provide deployment support for database objects in production and test environments · Provide 24/7 on call production support on rotation basis · Expert in Sybase performance tuning and trouble shooting · Good experience in Sybase replication version 12.6, 15.x and above · Experience in Sybase warm standby and MSA replication setup and support · At least three years of experience working with MS SQL servers 2005/2008R2 · Good understanding of hardware technologies like VMware, SRDF and SRM · Good knowledge of DR/HA solutions for databases · Good understanding of DR/HA processes and procedures · Be able plan/execute Disaster Recovery exercised and interact with other operations team · Excellent communication skills and good team player · Experience in working on heterogeneous replication environments using Sybase replication will be a plus* * With Best Regards...... *Naresh Kumar Pyla * -- *Thanks,* *Naresh Kumar .
