Develops and updates process documentation and assures assembly procedure are followed within the *DC’s* 2. Conducts direct labor studies using acceptable engineering practices and establishes standards on operations, set up and work station layout. 3. Defines tooling and fixtures used in the assembly process. 4. Tracks Quality of all finished goods flowing into and out of the *DC’s*, tracks all on hold vehicles and develops repair processes within Distribution Centers. 5. Coordinates all rework initiatives for assembly plants 6. Conducts regular visits to each *DC* to ensure adherence to Polaris policies and guidelines for receiving, assembling, and shipping vehicles. a. Evaluates DC issues and coordinates with plants to drive improvement on Quality and Delivery. 7. Assist the plant *ME’s with new model introduction to the DC’s* and trains DC’s on new *assembly* instructions 8. Assists with finished good crating design to ensure quality delivery to DC’s and quality *assembly* processes can be completed DC’s of new issues that arise on new models. Communicate issues and suggestions back and forth between the assembly plants and the *DC’s*. Have knowledge of the product and processes at both the assembly plants and the DC’s. Assist in warehouse layout improvements to facilitate a better product flow through the DC. Conducts direct labor studies using acceptable engineering practices and establishes standards on operations, set up, and work station layout. Identifies areas of unnecessary cost. Researches methods and procedures for cost reduction, work cell development and material flow improvement. Reviews preliminary designs, making recommendations to reduce costs and improve manufacturing and quality on new or existing finished vehicles. Develops detailed, complete and accurate capital equipment studies and makes appropriate recommendations for capital expenditures. Assists in preparation of Distribution Center budget including material, manpower, equipment and outside procurement costs, and operates within approved parameters. Perform special projects as assigned.
