*MUST BE LOCAL FACE TO FACE REQUIRED.* *SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE A skilled, experienced developer capable of handling large projects with minimal guidance* *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and deliver code from detailed specifications, leveraging a mix of approved technologies Analyze requirements, produce object-oriented designs for product enhancements and new development Help Project Manager gather and analyze technical requirements for projects Coding and unit testing, integration testing Ramp-up quickly and independently on current applications with minimal supervision. Work independently on projects or as part of larger teams Communicate status, issues, concerns, recommendations, designs and technical decisions to business and technical stake holders Provide estimates for anticipated work Monitor/Lead other Developers in implementation of the projects Work closely with QA in testing and with support teams in the production implementation of projects Document and transition projects to production support* *KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES 8+ years JAVA/OOA/OOD 6+ years J2EE (EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC) 4+ years Web experience (JavaScript, HTML, XML) 4+ years Struts (prefer Struts 2) jQuery, AJAX Web services (REST w/ JSON, SOAP) Ability to create, read and understand UML Design Diagrams SQL, Oracle DB, UNIX, Windows Application server experience with JBoss or similar (like Weblogic) ClearCase, SVN Eclipse IDE Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring DAO, Spring Web) Shell Scripting Hibernate/JPA* *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering, Masters in computer Science preferred. 8+ years’ work experience in a J2EE development environment Java Certifications a plus* *The Successful candidate will: Be team focused, results oriented, flexible. Have the ability to ramp up and become productive very quickly. Be an outgoing, energetic individual. Take ownership and accountability for work product. Come from a smaller development environment and/or smaller team environment. Have excellent oral/verbal communications skills Have 8-10 years of industry experience Have 3-5 years’ experience in the role of a Lead Developer (including leadership and analysis and design. Have demonstrated knowledge/experience in application support/troubleshooting Have demonstrated knowledge of applicable technologies Be able to ramp up quickly and independently on legacy platform and applications where needed.
