Role: *Sr Java Architect* Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 3 to 6 months *Description:* Need Senior software engineers to join the team to design and develop the next generation video applications. In this role you will work closely with engineering teams to rewrite legacy applications and solve large scale, highly complex technical problems around video processing and serving technologies. As an ideal candidate, your code follows OO design patterns and you write high quality code which is super-efficient, highly scalable, easy to test, maintain, and monitor. *Minimum Qualifications * • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with solid programming knowledge and hands-on experience • BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) • Strong oral and written communication skills • Be able to demonstrate sound development practices, object oriented and service oriented architecture, and design patterns • Expert knowledge of Java, multithreading, concurrency, locking, design patterns • Expert understanding of Spring and Hibernate frameworks. • Web services development and middleware background (REST, SOAP, WS-I) • Previous experience working with scalable high-performance server based systems • Java, JavaScript, PHP and multi-tier web development experience • Experience in designing and maintaining distributed computing environment *Desired Qualifications:* Apache Cassandra or other NoSQL Datastores experience. Experience with Perl, Python and other scripting languages. Good understanding of asynchronous messaging. Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, ability to work with production servers, to analyze logs to isolate problems etc. Experience working with applications built using C, C++ languages.
