Duration: 6 months plus Rate: Open *Need only local candidates who can join Monday* Project Title: Provide a development resource to assist with Enhancement Requests and Production Support issues for client ESH&Q Applications Introduction/Background Client has Oracle based custom built Applications for Environment, Safety, Health & Quality (ESH&Q) Division. Client is currently running on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, Sun Solaris Release 10, Oracle Fusion Middleware 10gR2, Forms and Reports 11gR2 and Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0. Client would like to engage a resource who has expertise in Forms & Reports 11gR2 and Oracle Database 11g. Objectives The engaged resource will: 1. Reduce the amount of time required to complete the outstanding enhancements by assisting client technical staff. Scope An Oracle technical Developer is needed to complete the tasks listed as follow: 1. Work on modifications to standard forms and reports, PL/SQL programs and interfaces. 2. Test the changes thoroughly before releasing to user testing. 3. Delivery of assigned coding projects, by their target dates, functioning as required in a stable maintainable state. 4. Weekly status reports to the Enterprise Applications Group Lead with a breakdown of time spent on project tasks. Skills and Experience: 1. Resource(s) will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of development experience using Oracle Technologies. 2. Candidate must have experience with SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, PSP. 3. Candidate must have experience with Oracle's development tools including Forms, Reports & Discoverer with expertise in Forms & Reports 11gR2 and Oracle Database 11g. 4. The proposed resource(s) must have experience engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues. 5. Highly desirable skills include experience with Linux, Shell Scripts. 6. Highly desirable skills include knowledge of ITIL processes. 7. The proposed resource(s) must be able to work independently with limited general supervision. 8. Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are critical. 9. The proposed resource(s) should have strong written and oral communication skills. 10.
