Job Description *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*: *Linux System Admin/Engineer.* The ideal candidate will have a background with security firewall, load balancing, auditing, proxy set up, and logging. They use Security logging system they use is Splunk & Centrify for centralized authentication for systems. In additional day to day system administration, will work with oracle DBA’s in setting binaries and security permissions for Linux systems *Skills needed* · 6-10+ years of UNIX/Linux system administration experience · 5+ years supporting highly available, customer-facing services in a 100+ server environment · Extensive experience Load Balancers(F5) · Experience with Security logging system with Splunk & Centrify · Experience with server virtualization (Xen preferred) · In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals · Proficiency writing shell and/or Perl scripts · Excellent communication and project execution skills *Nice-to-have Skills:* · Ubuntu/Debian experience · *e*xperience using and managing Hadoop clusters · NAS experience (Network Appliance preferred) · Operational familiarity with CFEngine · Experience configuring hardware load balancers (F5 preferred) · Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle preferred) · Python and PHP programming RedLine Associates, Inc is an international search firm headquartered in Chicago.
