Job Description Identifies and develops process solutions which meet the performance and flexibility needs of the business. • Performs process simulation and other modeling needed to evaluate potential process and equipment design alternatives. • Serves as the process design engineer on capital project teams. • Develops or modifies process flow-sheets, including PFDs and P&IDs. • Provides process data to collaboratively develop equipment design specifications. • Applies approved design practices, work processes, and design tools to develop innovative, cost effective solutions. • Develops process design packages in support of capital projects and Technology improvement programs. Such packages include the design basis, PFDs, equipment specifications, and economics for viable design alternatives. • Effectively applies the new technology development and capital project stage-gate processes to deliver project deliverables. Required Skills: • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering. • 5 – 10 years industrial experience. • Self-motivated leader, capable of leading process design teams. • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to innovate and solve complex problems. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to take an idea from concept to commercialization. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. • Proven track record of delivering results.
