Please mail resumes at *abha...@idctechnologies.com* <abha...@idctechnologies.com> with DL copy for fast process *Role:: Software Designer Lead* *Location:: Philladelphia, PA* *Duration:: 06+ months* *Job Description::* *Responsibilities* Accountable for design standards and governing adherence by delivery partners Accountable for ensuring all design artifacts are properly reviewed for quality Responsible for partnering with requirements team to understandexpected functional and non-functional behaviorand to verify that proposed solution designs meet these requirements Provides design artifacts such as UML diagrams, design patterns and technical design documents and reviews solution architecture documents from the solution architecture team Responsible for working with solution architects to understand software architecture guidelines and approved design patterns Escalates design issues and risks to Software Delivery Lead (SDL) and SDTL manager Participates in code reviews to ensure designs are properly implemented Accountable for working with QA teams to understand solution design and related deliverables Partners with QA to identify optimal test strategy, approach and plan as well as represents GSED in defect triage sessions Provides impact assessment for change management Participates in warranty defect triage sessions to ensure design impacts are considered *Qualifications* Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate software engineering teams; set technical direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity Experience with UML and other current design notations Knowledge of design patterns (e.g. Gang of 4) and enterprise integration patters Ability to navigate matrixed organizations effectively Results-oriented, diligent and works with a sense of urgency Assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit to deadlines Ability to identify and implement required actions quickly in order to accomplish goals, eliminate roadblocks, and create focus Posses knowledge and expertise in the use of various delivery methodologies (waterfall and iterative) and have a clear understanding of human resources policies/practices and change management techniques Influential, focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure.
