*Project Location* *Bay Area, CA* *Duration* *6+ Months/Contract * *Interview mode: - Phone + Skype Visa: Any* *JOB DESCRIPTION * *Requirement:* · Strong background in *Linux/Unix Administration* · Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent · Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services *(experience with AWS is required)* · Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus) · A working understanding of *code and script* · Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service *Middleware** administration and expertise for environment management*: Person should be able to know what the middleware stack is, how are they configured and how to troubleshoot and provide guidance and participate and drive discussions related to deployment design. This person should also know what to look for while troubleshooting end to end connectivity or other related issues. Help with capacity planning, environment management etc. This person will also be the one to drive monitoring, performance testing support etc. That means, this person has to be really good at system architecture, end to end system integrations and a thorough understanding of the middleware stack. *Automation Specialist:* This person will be an expert on automation, build and deployment scripting. Not somebody that want to learn how to do it. This would mean, this person will know how to setup CI/CD, knows what all the components are needed, how they are setup and how they need to communicate etc. Also has the ability to help the engineering team on using build scripts to locally build as well as use them on the environments to keep them consistent. *Cloud expert:* This is something we can leverage if this person is a cloud specialist, understands how to setup things in cloud etc. But this is an add on skill on the top of middleware and systems knowledge.
