Rate: $40 (rate is firm – please do not submit above) *Summary* Summary: The Application Developer will perform highly advanced non-supervisory technical work in the analysis, planning, design, development, testing and debugging, maintenance, and documentation of highly complex applications using existing and emerging platforms to fulfill the needs of the client's business systems. The highly advanced technical role includes the assignment and accountability for highly complex application development or customization projects for new or existing major agency systems that provide core business functions. This category includes web application and database development. Project Description: This application developer position will be working on the following Unemployment Compensation (UC) project: Shared Work Project– Pennsylvania's Shared-Work Program allows an employer to temporarily reduce the work hours of a group of employees as an alternative to a lay-off. Employees covered by the plan receive a percentage of their UC Weekly Benefit Amount, or WBA, while they work the reduced schedule, if they are otherwise eligible for UC. This project will look to implement the following three aspects of Pennsylvania’s Shared Work Program: 1. Online filing, by employers, of their plans online to participate in the Shared Work program 2. Online filing initial claims by claimants 3.
