Description:
Experience designing, building and implementing large financial services
data warehouses. Strong data modeling and SQL programming experience.

Job Details:
Data Engineer Advises auditors and Data Owners on best options to acquire
large data sets necessary to perform the required analytics within
deadlines and budget.
Solves data acquisition challenges and provides faster and scalable to load
complex and non-ASCII (e.g. EBCDIC and unstructured data) from Mainframe
and other challenging environments.
Collaborates with Data Owners in the process of data sourcing and answers
Auditee or Data Owner questions on the protection of data within the data
governance framework.
Provides data quality assurance on the data acquired by performing standard
profiling and other data quality checks before analysts use the data
assists in the creation of Technical Specification for reusable analytics
projects or other DA team initiatives.

Requirements:
Having 0-3 years' experience.
Strong ability in managing your own work and priority to budget and
timelines and a self-starter attitude.
Good written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing
skills.
Experience in shell scripting is required.

Nice to Have:
Project management skills a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in ETL, Data Engineering,
Database Development or a similar function is required, preferably in
Financial Services.
Familiarity with data-wrangling friendly languages such as Python or Perl
highly preferred.
Experience with the following technologies/tools is highly preferred: IBM
DataStage, Teradata Studio, T-SQL, Apache Hadoop, Sqoop.
Travel:
Potential for 20-40% of travel between Boston and Quincy is expected.
