*Job Description:*


The Performance Engineering role will be accountable for the stability and
performance of all SAP systems at Cardinal Health. The individual will be
expected to partner with a large number of technical and functional teams
within Cardinal, and with key vendors, especially SAP, to assess current
state health, analyze capacity trends, identify performance and stability
risks, provide recommendations for improvements, and drive teams to deliver
solutions to remediate identified issues. The individual will be seen as a
leading advocate for the health and stability of all of our SAP platforms
at Cardinal. The individual will also act as a leader in times of crisis;
when acute business impacts do occur, the individual will drive timely
restoration of services and follow-on root cause analysis to closure.





Proven professional, technical experience as an SAP Basis resource (or
similar role) with extensive experience in the following areas:
• System and application performance analysis and tuning
• SAP Solution Manager/Run SAP Like a Factory, including Business Process
Monitoring (BPMon), Business Process Analytics (BPA), custom dashboards,
monitoring and alerting
• System capacity planning
• Development and management of application, system monitoring and alerting
solutions and dashboards
• ABAP development
• SAP application, e.g. ABAP, performance optimization techniques
• Experience with performance tuning on SAP HANA is a plus
• Working functional knowledge of SAP systems and modules, including ECC,
CRM, SCM, BW, PI, Netweaver, MM, SD, PP, etc.
• Working knowledge of SAP enabling technologies including portal and
workflow
• Able and willing to learn and grow skills as SAP product offering
transforms especially in areas directly related to system performance and
stability, e.g. SAP HANA and SLT.
