Job Title:    SQL Server Developer
Location:    Dallas, TX
Duration:    6 Months


Analyze enterprise Microsoft Access databases for migration to a backend server 
platform such as Microsoft SQL or Microsoft SharePoint. Perform large scale 
Microsoft Access database migrations, which would include performing migration 
simulations to determine database migration requirements. Additional duties 
will include identifying and correcting simple database migration issues or 
identifying major database migration issues. 
Key responsibilities: 
.Perform large scale database analysis on enterprise Microsoft Access databases 
for migration consideration. 
.Review and evaluate database migration simulation reports. 
.Plan and execute Microsoft Access database migration to backend server storage 
destinations (SQL & SharePoint). 
.Troubleshoot and address migration issues, identify and communication critical 
migration or development issues. 
.Perform end-user acceptance testing to validate successful database migration. 

Minimum requirements 
5 years experience Microsoft SQL Server 
3 years experience Database Development 
2 years Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2003 experience 

Abilities required 
Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2003 experience 
Microsoft Access 2003/2007 experience 
SQL Database Migration experience 
SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant) a plus 

Programming Experience 
Microsoft Access Development 
Microsoft .Net Database Development 
Microsoft SharePoint Development a plus 

Candidate performs work under supervision and regularly reports to a manager or 
team lead. Self-sufficient on some work, but still learning to become 
independent in day-to-day task completion. Assists with designing, coding, 
testing, and providing ongoing support for embedded systems software to meet 
technological and customer requirements. Assists in defining and analyzing 
system software design requirements and writing software requirements documents 
to meet defined and anticipated customer needs and system quality and 
performance standards. Assists in writing software integration and test plans, 
conducting and leading software verification, testing and integration efforts 
to identify required modifications and ensure optimum system performance at 
delivery.
