Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer Location: Radnor, PA Duration: 6+ Months Our client in Radnor is currently looking for a contractor for 6 months to serve as a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This position is responsible for designing and building multi-functional level components and/or systems modules for embedded Java applications for customer set-top units. Responsibilities: Test and evaluate subsystems and components Apply standards, methodologies, and other departmental processes and procedures Apply coding standards and methodologies Present design of a single component Keep current with technology development within the industry Creation of documents and design technical requirements and service specifications Technical Skills: Experience with Java and/or C/C++ Experience with embedded applications/multi-thread concepts Experience with OO design/analysis Practical experience with unit testing Experience with software development environments and CM tools Investigate and resolve software defects Demonstrated technical writing skills in support of software development . Understanding of code optimization concepts Desired Skills & Experience: Must interface successfully with engineers and across functional departments Ability to work independently under the general supervision of a more senior software engineer Experience with agile development methodologies. SCRUM preferred.
