*Position: **Project Manager * *Location: **Springfield, IL .*** *Duration: **2 Years + Extension* * Job Description:* This position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling of assigned projects and, using project management procedures and processes authorized by the agency, develops and manages the project plan for the creation of mainframe, client/server and/or Internet based computer systems including facilitating the establishment of estimates, timelines, milestones, risk assessments and contingency plans; prepares and distributes project status reports and other communications, assures that project activities and deliverables are within project scope and manages resources leading to successful project implementation, establishes and maintains professional relationships with pertinent process / system owners and other stakeholders in order to promote an effective partnership between the technical and business components of the agency; Positions work independently with direction management to effectively implement assigned initiatives. *Required Skills:-* · Project Manager must have a current PMP certification from the PMI institute. Vendor must submit a copy of the active certificate. · Candidate must be LEADS (Law Enforcement Agencies Data System) certified through Illinois State Police. Must supply a copy of the LMS (Learning Management System) certificate for LEADS course along with the State ID (SID) number issued by Illinois State Police. · Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields (or equivalent knowledge, skill, experience and mental development). · Candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years working with federal traffic safety organizations such as FMCSA, FHWA, and NHTSA. · Candidate must have 3+ recent years experience managing projects being built with the following Microsoft technologies and infrastructure: · a. Windows Server. · b. Visual Studio. · c. SQL Server. · Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. · Candidate must be a US citizen or possess a Permanent Resident Card (commonly known as “Green Card”).
