Eight (8) years experience designing and/or developing large scale application systems in a multi-tiered environment, at least four (4) of which must be in a JAVA/J2EE environment. Four (4) years Web Sphere Portal design and development experience Two (2) years of EJB development experience. Strong knowledge of object oriented methodology, including design patterns. Experience developing and deploying applications for Web Sphere Application Server, knowledge of RAD. ASSOCIATED SKILL SETS Candidates must also have four (4) of the preferred skilled sets listed below. Accordingly, candidates not meeting the supporting experiential specifications below will not be considered for the position. Familiar with Software Change, Configuration Management, and Build Processes in a complex environment of re-useable Java components. Experience writing technical specifications from functional specifications and collaborating with business analyst to understand functional specifications. Knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL. Prior working knowledge of DCJS development environment. Experience in use of a Messaging Architecture, such as MQ Series. Experience in implementing SOAP and XML. Experience with core software engineering concepts, control structures, data structures, fundamental algorithms, error and exception handling. Understanding of JSR 168 specification for portlet lifecycle. Experience using Hibernate Data Access Layer. Experience in developing automated test cases using the JUNIT Framework. Knowledge of UML Modeling tools such as Rational Modeler, including knowledge of Use Cases, Context Diagrams, Domain Models, Sequence Diagrams and Object Diagrams.
