*Job Title : Business & Quality Analyst. Location : Topeka, KS. Duration : 6 month contract. Rate : $35/hr Corp 2 Corp.* Experience: Fully competent professional with 3-5 years of similar or related professional experience. *College Degree Required* Major Duties & Responsibilities: Play a primary role in the identification and management of business and system requirements through the project life-cycle and across single or multiple systems. Prepare test plans, scenarios, and test data and execute a variety of manual and/or automated test types. Work with project team to accurately estimate and prioritize project work. Identify, document, track, and assist in the resolution of defects in all testing stages. Report on project progress. Actively participate in process improvement initiatives. Expectations: Independently or with some supervision, works closely with clients and other members of the development team to thoroughly understand the business domain and drive the definition of systems that parellel overall business strategy by performing elicitation, review, analysis, documentation, modeling and prioritization of business and system requirements for existing and new business systems of moderate to high complexity. Working independently; identifies, tracks, and resolves project-related issues with project stakeholders and drives prioritization of requirements by business value. Using agile methods in conjunction with the software development team, provides leadership for all of the following: Assistance in creation of test plans Identification and development of necessary test data Creation and execution of manual and automated tests Identification, documentation, and tracking of program defects Assistance in defect resolution Provides production support and troubleshooting on all systems. Assists the client with the training of end users and the preparation of training and operational support documentation. Provides strategic input on future direction of applications as necessary. Participates with project team in implementation and post-production support of applications. Reports project progress to Business & Quality Assurance Supervisor on a weekly basis. Demonstrates awareness of the need for constant process improvement and is willing to identify, offer suggestions for improvement, and actively participate in their implementation. Other Skills: 3-4 years of broad financial and/or banking industry experience comprising a combination of education and hands-on experience is preferred. Combination of 3-5 years of hands-on testing experience and/or hands-on requirements elicitation, management, and documentation experience in a full-lifecycle software development organization. Familiarity with Microsoft technologies a plus. Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools is required. Experience with Agile development methods is a plus.
