looking for Lead Oracle Database Administrator position. The candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities will need to start as soon as possible. Experience: 10 to 12 years of experience, at least last 5-7 years as Lead Oracle DBA on all aspects of Oracle Database Administration in a large/challenging database environment on UNIX/Linux platform. Experience supporting internet/web based database applications with heavy concurrent user volume* Work Summary: The candidate filling this Lead Oracle Data Administrator position will develop, deploy and support development, OAT, Stage and Production databases. This includes database design, application development support, and database production support. The candidate will also schedule, set up and deploy new infrastructure database computers. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:* Working knowledge of MSSQL Server databases is a Plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working on 10g RAC database applications, Oracle TDE, OEM Grid control, RMAN. Good UNIX Sun Solaris, Linux knowledge and scripting is a plus. Oracle database technology experience with concentration in RAC/ASM/Data Guard/ GRID In-depth knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g R1/R2 RAC implementation and administration on Linux and Solaris Clusters Knowledge of SAN technology and VCS to support highly available environments Oracle GRID Control setup, management and usage skills required Skilled in SQL statement tuning with detailed understating of AWR and StatsPack reports, database performance tuning and PL/SQL programming. Hands on Experience of implementing Oracle 9i and 10G database on UNIX and Linux platform is a must. Willingness to work on-call DBA rotations in a 7x24 environment. Ability to perform professional level technical documentation and presentation. Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment Proficient at time and priority management.
