*Position : Configuration Management & Release Lead (Bamboo)*
*Location : Arlington, VA* *Duration : 3-6 months+* * * *Responsibilities:* · The Configuration Manager will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying gaps, and implementing improved processes in the entire Development Lifecycle, including Software Quality Assurance. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining portions of the integration and release processes within the development team, while reporting directly to the Work Order project manager. *Responsibilities:* · Coordinate release activities with Project Management, QA, Release Management and Development teams to ensure a smooth and trouble-free roll out of releases · Analyze and improve Enterprise processes around Source Control, Builds, and Releases. · Manage and maintain multiple test environments, ensuring that these environments are properly setup, configured, and available for each project as scheduled. · Trace complex build problems release issues and environment issues in a multi-component environment · Develop, maintain and enhance key parts of the release procedures and processes. · Communicating and training those aspects to management and other stakeholders where applicable. · Mentor and train junior staff members as needed · Responsible for maintaining environment configuration, controls, code integrity, code conflict resolution, and will work closely with PM's, software development & QA teams to review code for compatibility issues, resolve issues as they arise and implement deployment processes. · *Subversion* *branching/Merging experience is necessary*. · Create, maintain and support extensive build and test environments (Development/QA/Staging) · Create, publish and manage formal release notification, instructions, deployment notes and launch plans as needed · Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes, existing tools and enhancements *Required Skills:* · 3+ years in *SVN/JIRA/Bamboo* experience · Solid understanding and practical experience of software development life cycles, with emphasis on release engineering functions. · Software Quality Assurance and testing experience a big plus · Experience with working with rapid, overlapping product release cycles · Excellent customer service attitude, communication, and interpersonal skills · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Solid understanding and experience with Agile software development methodologies · Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation · In-depth understanding of the principles and best practices of *Software Configuration Management* · Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations with a calm demeanor · Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of deployments · 3+ years in Release Engineering experience · Experience with building and deploying MS and UNIX-based applications · Experience with isolating build/deployment issues versus code issues. · Source Code branching and merging strategy. · 3+ years source control tool experience *(SVN, JIRA, Bamboo, Visual SourceSafe, TFS, CVS* · 3+ years of experience in developing *Build Scripts for CI using MS Build/Ant/nAnt* · 3+ years SQL experience · Hands on knowledge programming in HTML and XML · Experience working with and administration of web server technologies (IIS) is a plus · Mortgage / Financial industry experience a plus · B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical field. · Experience with .Net, Business Objects, BEA Weblogic, Informatica ETL, and Oracle PL/SQL -- Thanks & Regards, SCOTT Sriven Technologies LLC E-Mail:*sc...@sriventech.com* Web: www.sriventech.com Ph: 703-842-4866x302 Fax: 1866 725-2860 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
