*Responsibilities:*

Ø       Ability to study and understand business needs

Ø       Ability to conduct interviews for business users to create and/or
understand requirements

Ø       Requirements specifications, Conventions, Vendor database management
documentation

Ø       Evaluate requirements for their relevancy to (and impact on) the
databases

Ø       Advanced DBA knowledge of Clustering, Partitioning, Performance
Tuning, DB Infrastructure High Availability, Replication, Mirroring, VLDB DB
maintenance.

Ø       Provide and advise solution to large Oracle related infrastructure
Projects and suggest better way to optimize Availability, Cost, Stability,
Robustness, etc.

Ø       Be proficient in Oracle data model.

Ø       Proficient in PL/SQL and implementing Triggers on databases

Ø       Proficient in Unix scripting

Ø       Proficient in Schema designing

Ø       Data porting, data modeling

Ø       Ability to deciding and establish the topology and technology for
high-availability of databases

Ø       Knowledge of application modeling languages (e.g., UML, OML,
entity-relationship modeling) including the ability to create and read the
associated diagrams

Ø       Able to perform database capacity planning

Ø       Ability to decide the appropriate database technology (e.g.,
relational, extended relational, or object database)

Ø       Ability to evaluate and select the database management systems to be
incorporated into the application(s)

Ø       Ability to decide where the databases will reside in multi-tier
distributed applications (e.g., relational databases on the database
servers, object database in the middle domain tier and relational database
on the backend infrastructure tier)

Ø       Able to produce the logical data models for the databases

Ø       Determine if existing database access software requires modification

Ø       Impact of database changes on other systems
