*Note: In-person interview in Solon, Ohio is required.*** * * *SQL Developer* Solon, OH 8+ months *Essential Skills / Experience* • Experience working with large and/or complex data sets. • Minimum of 6 months experience in application development using SQL, SSIS. • Strong knowledge of system development lifecycle concepts. • Ability to multi-task. • Ability to improve and streamline code. • Thorough understanding of relational database design. • Excellent understanding of SQL and set based logic. • Thorough understanding of ETL processes, particularly SSIS. • Full understanding of software testing. • Experience in performance tuning including reading / understanding query plans and creating indexes. • Ability to analyze data and determine relationships and dependencies from raw data. • Experience in programming with VB script and VB.Net or C#. • Excellent organizational skills. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience working with large data sets a plus. *Beneficial Skills/Experience* • Claims / PBM experience a plus. • Detail oriented. • Strong knowledge of MSOffice Suite of applications. • Strong knowledge of Visio,Ultra Edit and Ultra Compare *Education / Training* • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Position is responsible for the coding and unit testing of internal applications. Work with IT and business to understand requirements. Performing coding and testing of software solutions. Generate specifications for design and development from business requirements. Develop a unit test plan from the business requirements. Analysis of data formats and parsing of data. Aid in the design and development of databases and other duties as assigned. SQL experience, including stored procedures; preferably Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with ETL processes; Benefit Claims and/or PBM experience is preferred. *Summary* Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents database solutions to business problems. Researches and analyzes data to meet business needs. Research and formulate solutions to deal with production issues. Works with minimal supervision or direction. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* • Design database solutions / technical requirements from business requirements. • Work with IT and business to understand requirements. • Develop a test plan from the business and technical requirements. • Create databases, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints, stored procedures and SSIS packages from technical and business requirements. • Ensure technical development meets timelines and communicates timely any delays • Other duties as assigned.
