Job Title: ETL/Datastage Developer Location: Brooklyn,NY Duration: 6+ Months contract Experience: 8+ years of continuous accomplishments in ETL development and leading a Datastage ETL team. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage ETL developers in full SDLC development of ODS, Master Data, Data Warehouse Detail understanding of the architecture of the Datastage ETL solution Manage resource allocation, project timelines and reporting Ensure standards and best practices for the IBM Datastage are used Communicate and lead technical and solution review sessions with technical team and partner teams Minimum Core Competencies: Must be proficient and have experience with IBM Datastage. 8+ years of continuous experience leading a Datastage ETL team Recent experience of ETL Architecture (minimum version 8.x) and ETL design experience Certified Datastage professional a plus. Experience with data analysis, data integration, and database design and development Experience with developing and implementing ODS, data warehousing solutions or data migrations Knowledge of ETL concepts and with data flow diagrams or data flow designs Collaboration with application team, data architect team, security team, data quality team, business units and data owners to successfully implement and maintain a DOE enterprise level operational data store, data warehouse, data marts and master data solution. Translating business requirements from across the Department of Education into technical project and data warehousing requirements, and reporting and analytics requirements. Reviewing and providing feedback on current ETL architecture processes, policies, and vision. Providing extensive expertise in enterprise data and information management methods and standards. Requirements Skills: Very strong technical knowledge of IBM Datastage version 8+ Management of a development ETL team Project planning and coordination of many projects Adherence to ETL Architecture Standards Very good communications and management skills Technical leadership of teams of 10 – 15 members as manager/lead of ETL and SQL Experience in the Education space with knowledge of assessments software. Expertise includes delivery of real time and near real time solutions. Deep understanding of real time technologies related ESB/SOA and how they connect to near real time CDC tools and ETL tools.
