Overview:*
The Senior Network Engineer is a core contributor to the IT Infrastructure
Services team responsible for designing,
implementing and supporting the network infrastructure at Client. This
person has demonstrated experience with a
broad range of Networking technologies, network security, firewalls, VPN
and Intrusion detection, LAN, WAN, MAN
and cloud connectivity. They have a systematic approach to their work, a
strategic understanding of the role of
Information Technology in the organization, and will address problems with
comprehensive and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications:*
1)10+ years of network engineering experience
2)Cisco CCNA certification or better
3)Expert understanding of TCP/IP networks, IP Addressing (DHCP, IP
Subnets…), Ethernet technology in switched
and routed environments (Layer 2 and 3), Network Load balancing and
Voice over IP. Extensive experience with
VPN, firewalls (hardware and software), and other network security
systems. Clear understanding of the concepts
behind Internet services and protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, and DNS
4)Experience in design, configuration, maintaining, and troubleshooting the
following technologies: BGP, HSRP, OSPF,
SSH, MPLS, QOS, ACLs, RADIUS, wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n, VLAN, NAC,
802.1x and port security, particularly using Cisco IOS
5)Experience with telephony systems and communications servers relating to
Voice over IP and unified messaging including
Cisco Unified Communications Server, Call Manager, and Contact
Center. Experience with phone switch (POE) management,
Move Add Change work and administration of telephony applications.
Experience with monitoring systems for network, server,
and security. Design and management of software packages for
monitoring server and network uptime, issues, or faults along
with security and intrusion detection packages.
6)Deep knowledge of networking appliances and hardware such as switches
(Ethernet, fiber, Infiniband), routers, network
interface cards. Experience with multiple processor systems, RAID
hardware, SCSI attached, iSCSI and SAN hardware.
Expert with various Intel based computing systems including desktop,
laptop, and server class machines.
7)Good understanding of working with Microsoft Windows servers and Windows
Client operating systems. Has strong experience
and understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Knowledge of
Linux/UNIX is a plus. Experience working with enterprise
level, multi-tiered, web based, distributed applications is a plus.
8)Familiarity with any software programming technologies, software
development environments, source control concepts, scripting
commonly repeated tasks, etc. is a plus.
9)Must have excellent writing and communication skills and be able to
accurately document systems changes and tasks. Ability to
create analysis documents, instruction sheets, and systems
documentation for completed systems.
10)Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with
internal employees, managers and customers as needed
11)Experience and understanding of special needs in a regulated environment
or environment with special security is a plus.
12)Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
13)Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
14)Ability to work as part of a team
15)Ability to work with very little supervision and take ownership of
assigned projects.
