6-12 Months Wilmington, DE Description Application developer required to help deliver a major new application re-engineering program across the Client's Securities Back Office platforms. The role will involve analysis, design, coding and implementation of the business functions/services associated with the Operational Data Storage architecture. Client is undertaking a 5-year re-engineering program with the objective of retiring multiple legacy platforms and replacing them with a new Securities back office platform (Program: SCPP Evolution) based on BPM, SOA and web based technologies. Responsibilities . Adheres to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures and champions the use of these within teams, looking for ways in which to continuously improve them by researching emerging IT products, services, processes and methodologies . Contributes to the development of information models . Makes complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high level specifications, application support, and industry standards . Provides design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications . Utilizes multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure that applications are fit for purpose and are maintainable going forward . Tests and implements cross-business applications . Manages day to day workload of junior team members, monitoring project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identify / mitigate risk . Provides input into project management team on individuals performance . Develops, trains, and coaches junior team members, including providing on-the-job training Qualifications . 5-6 years of development experience in Informatica . Excellent technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills . Must have proven track record working as ETL developer implementing or supporting mid to large scale applications . Ability to manage multiple deliverables and aggressive deadlines . Experience in building and deploying software using maven or ant and good working knowledge of Subversion or any other source code control systems . Multi-disciplined IT background . A team player with excellent communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels of business and technology management and ability to influence effectively . Experience in working effectively with geographically distributed teams . Driven self-starter, highly motivated . Experience on shell scripting on Unix/Linux Highly Desired . Experience with Securities Processing platforms .
