Hi JOB TITLE: Systems Analyst/SharePoint Administrator
OFFICE: St. Louis, MO Need someone who can interview in person and relocate without issues. They know the location is out there so they do not want to put a rate on it. Those that are H1's need to not reveal they are H1's during the contract and cannot go perm if they get the job POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Senior Manager of Information Technology and according to established policies and procedures, uses SharePoint administration skills, systems analysis, business analysis, and project management skills to coordinate and accomplish technical and business objectives; manage the SharePoint environment, meet with internal customers, conduct process and systems analysis, manage SQL Server databases, perform data analysis, create reports using SQL Reporting Services and Excel, prepare and prioritizes requirements, develop project management plans; coordinate resolution of business and technical issues using analytical, interpretive, and constructive thinking; SQL Server databases. Work percentage estimates are: SharePoint administration (50%); systems and business analysis (30%); project management (10%); and SQL Server administration (10%). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: "Essential" are primary job duties that an individual must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer. SharePoint Administration * Develops, manages, and enforces SharePoint environment policies and procedures, security, and performance based upon experience and best practices. * Manages updates, patches, bug fixes, and other deployments to the SharePoint farm. * Monitors performance and troubleshoots problems on SharePoint farm. * Works with network storage engineers to ensure storage, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place, tested, and functioning within guidelines. * Assists with maintaining the SharePoint governance plan and procedures for compliance. SQL Server * Database design and administration. * Works with software architects and developers to modify database schemas, stored procedures, and functions. * Performs data analysis and creates reports using Excel, Microsoft Access, and SQL Reporting Services. * Performs query optimization when needed. Analysis * Collects, analyzes, and prepares business, functional, system, and quality requirements, use cases, specifications and business process diagrams textually and through visual modeling methods and tools. * Validates and manages project requirements. * Plans, designs, develops, and communicates solutions to improve business and technical processes. * Evaluates products as needed. Project Management * Develops and maintains project plans and project-specific processes where applicable. * Coordinates and leads project resources in a cross-functional environment. * Monitors, manages, and communicates project performance and status reports to project stakeholders. * Assists with project initiation evaluations, such as cost-benefit or return on investment, and provide recommendations. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develops and authors user-facing training deliverables, such as written procedural guides and hands-on training sessions. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: General * Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others. * Must have ability to read, write and communicate fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone. * Must possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills. * Must have ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered. * Ability to process routine daily functions while being able to resolve sensitive issues and complex assignments utilizing above average critical thinking skills. * The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order for him or her to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to: * remain in a mobile position for 30% of the day and a stationary position 70% of the work day; * be able to move about inside the office to access various items; * must be able to elevate and transport items up to 20 pounds; constantly operate office machinery including but not limited to computers, computer mouse, hand held devices, and copy machines. SharePoint Administration * Must be proficient in system level SharePoint administration including the ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and configure managed services, information policies, security, and performance. * Must have the ability to manage and apply updates, patches, bug fixes, and other deployments to the SharePoint farm. * Must be familiar with SharePoint best practices and recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Database Administration * Must be proficient in the advanced use of TransactSQL, stored procedures, and functions. * Must be proficient in SQLServer management tools, techniques, and best practices. * Must be able to design and model databases. * Analysis * Must be proficient in the methods, tools, techniques, and best practices of the analyst profession. * Must possess strong reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. * Must be adept at collecting information through advanced communication, questioning, and interviewing techniques. * Must know how to effectively use common tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, for data analysis, data mining, and data scrubbing. * Must have a general understanding of software development life cycle approaches, such as Agile. * Must be skilled at adapting technology to efficiently meet and serve user needs. * Project Management * Must be proficient in the methods, tools, techniques, and best practices of the project management profession. * Must exhibit a collaborative style and strong facilitation, negotiation, and persuasive interpersonal skills. * Experience with Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server is preferred. * Product Management * Must be highly service oriented and willing to actively assist others. * Must be able to comprehend structured query languages and table designs in database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: * BA/BS degree in computer science or related field, though relevant experience may be substituted for partial education requirements. * Two or more years Microsoft SharePoint administration experience. * Three or more years Microsoft SQL Server experience. * Three or more years of experience in business and systems analysis. * Five or more years of experience in an IT role.
