*Position : Oracle Developer with JAVA Exp. Location : Charlotte, NC
Duration : 6+ Months *
This job is 80% Oracle PL/SQL and 20% Java Hibernate environment setup and
code debugging
Position Summary:
This contractor role will provide business application support for systems
primarily during normal business hours. This position will require a
candidate with very strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Must have
the ability to work independently with limited documentation, minimal
supervision, and limited access to business and technical subject matter
experts.
Major Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Analyze software problems in complex data driven applications to
determine root causes
- Recommend and implement appropriate solutions through application code
changes (including batch processes and database scripts).
- Analyze and fulfill user requests and questions related to reinsurance
systems. In some cases, this may require participation in requirements or
design meetings to develop/clarify business and/or technical requirements.
- Support application testing through the execution, review and/or
development of test plans to ensure quality in software releases/fixes. In
some cases this may require working directly with employees to facilitate
user-testing, implementation & post implementation review of business
systems.
- Adherence to software development lifecycles and best practices.
