·         *Looking for Long term (1 Year) opportunity in Buffalo, NY*
for a *Teradata
Physical Data Modeler.*

·         Some knowledge of *Teradata’s FSDM will be helpful.*

·         The *Physical Data Modeler* is responsible for the design and
instantiation of the physical data model, based on the logical data model.

·         This includes creating the base tables, associative tables, and
views, and choosing and creating all indexes.

·         The Physical Data Modeler uses input from the Business
Information Modeler, the Capacity Planner, the Database Administrator, and
the ETL Consultants.

·         This individual must have the skills to understand the logical
data model as well as the business requirements.

·         The Physical Data Modeler may be the Lead Consultant on a
project.



*Skills Set Required : *

·         Uses the *Teradata* logical model and techniques necessary to
determine data gaps and plan them in a logical iteration process to support
EDW development.

·         Uses the *FSLDM*, Erwin, Interactions of the DB and the physical
model (trade-offs and efficiency) and DDL generation to instantiate
efficient models in the Teradata Database that are tailored to represent
the client's business with efficient processing
