*srikanth.acha...@keyseries.us <srikanth.acha...@keyseries.us>* Location: Denver, CO (Need Locals) 11 month contract Major Duties: · Plan, coordinate, and administer database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, requirements, operational guidelines and protection · Develop data models and perform planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards and implementation · HBase conversion activities. · Tests designed applications · Analyzes and determines information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities · Research and evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for business issues · Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources · Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies · Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality · Provide database/query development expertise for Network Monitoring platform · Interact with Project Manager & Java Developers to understand requirements and scope the systems · Partner with Java Developers to create PL/SQL, stored procedures, provide query tuning expertise, and performance tuning for both Oracle and MySQL environments · Support Oracle and MySQL production environments through strong troubleshooting skills to narrow down database problems quickly in a high pressure situation · Use tools such as AWR, ASH, and OEM to determine root cause of database issues · Participate in on-call rotation · Handle multiple tasks - ensure that tasks are being completed in timely manner with limited direction · Participate in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects · Comply with all established procedures and policies · Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance · Other functions that may be assigned Minimum Requirements: · BS in Computer Science or equivalent · 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator · SeniorOracle DBA Skills - Install / Upgrade / Maintenance of RAC, Backup & Recovery and Performance Tuning · Nice to have - Unix Scripting, Replication · 3 – 5 years experience as PL/SQL Developer · 5 + years experience with MySQL tuning, troubleshooting, and setup · 5 + years of experience Unix, Unix shell scripting and Perl · 3 – 5 years experience with database monitoring tools such as AWR, ASH, OEM · Experience with Oracle DB setup activities such as Active Data Guard, Data Pump, Oracle Scheduler · Strong understanding of SAN relationship to Oracle database · Experience with high transaction volumes, high data through put · Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills · Works well in a team environment · Excellent written and verbal communications skills Preferred Requirements: · Bachelor Degree · 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator · Senior Oracle DBA Skills - Install / Upgrade / Maintenance of RAC, Backup & Recovery and Performance Tuning · Nice to have - Unix Scripting, Replication · Experience converting RDBMS to HBase a plus · Experience with database replication technologies such as Oracle Streams and/or Golden Gate · Experience with no-SQL databases · Experience with Pentaho ETL framework · Experience with UC4 job control and DB triggers · Experience developing Network Monitoring applications · Experience with high transaction/throughput processing in a highly available environment · “Automate everything” mindset · Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics · Demonstrated experience of participating on teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environments · Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines --------------------------- Thanks & Regards Srikanth Acharya Kindly submit your consultant profile to above Email ID.
