*Position : QA Automation Embedded/Mobile (Test) Engineer Location : Sunnyvale, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months Interview : Phone / Skype* *Education required for this position: * • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, software engineering or related field *Job Responsibilities:* • Design and implement flexible, reusable UI SW test coverage for embedded automotive platforms • Work closely with Software Development teams to validate code implementation; provide quality guidance and drive improvements in test automation coverage • Deploy project results on QA environments; participate in integration and bug triage sessions with key project partners spanning multiple time zones • Support successful release of embedded automotive platform. Coordinate and align with internal and external engineering and QA teams across time zones and locations to ensure that high quality is achieved and project timelines are met *Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* · Deep knowledge of modern software Quality Engineering practices, approaches and Test Automation technologies. · A passion for developing quality oriented frameworks and software, ensuring high quality releases. Excellent working knowledge of software quality principles, including code and test case automation coverage analysis. · Proficiency in setting up Continuous Integration/Deployment process for various environments. Strong hands-on experience with Agile development practices and tools. · Ability to analyze and break down complex problems, and devise concrete, viable solutions taking risks and obstacles into account. Ability to effectively communicate cause-effect and solution are key. · Ability to manage competing project priorities and constraints. Ability to work in inter-cultural, inter-disciplinary teams, across multiple time zones. Experience coordinating with local and off shore teams. · Able to learn quickly and willing to share knowledge with the team. *Job Requirements & Qualifications* · Proven experience in design and development of *Test Automation Frameworks/harnesses (JUnit, TestNG, Squish)* · Solid knowledge and hands-on project experience in *embedded software projects using embedded Linux, proficient in Python scripting.* · Demonstrated ability to play a key technical role in *testing of embedded/mobile UI software projects and developing Test Automation processes*. · Good understanding of distributed developments and integration processes. *Additional notes:* • *Squish based test automation skills (if this is not there then the following skills are mandatory)* • HTML5 or Qt based UI test automation expertise is required • Ideally need expertise in testing Automotive In-Vehicle-Infotainment (IVI) UI/HMI test automation. If automotive domain experience is absent, at least some other similar Infotainment or Consumer Electronics UI test automation expertise is required. • *Specifically, expertise automation test for a embedded system UI. E.g.
