*Position: Program manager Location: Redmond, WA Duration: Long term *

Create and maintain horizontal schedule across products

   - Working with Design Leads and partner PMs demand clear requirements
   - Work with PM and Design Leads to create a clear feature list for each
   release
   - Create and schedule design tasks and dates for each feature.Tasks may
   include:


   1. Design Briefs (Producer-created requirement specs)
   2. Model
   3. Wireframes
   4. Prototypes
   5. Motion
   6. Visual Comps
   7. Redlines
   8. Design Dev
   9. Design Dev Polish (apply redlines)
   10. Research studies

Create and Maintain schedule in TFS. TFS should contain:

   1. Complete Feature list
   2. Work Items supporting each feature
   3. Working with Design (IxD and Viz) and Design Dev leads create
   throughput schedule
   4. Keep delivery dates for each work item up to date
   5. Links in work items to the finished designs by task

Create, Maintain, Publish, and Display schedules of the following:

   1. High level schedule by project with key engineering and design
   deadlines
   2. Pointers to TFS reporting
   3. Print out and make available to design team a physical representation
   of schedule at least 3 sprints ahead


   - Work with other Design PMs for shared Design resources to ensure
   schedule is supported
   - Working with Design Leads Across IxD, visual, motion design, design
   dev make sure team is on track to meet required deadlines. Adjust and
   communicate with design and partners as necessary.
   - Manage incoming one-off fire drills and help assign resources
   appropriately while still meeting product deliverables.
   - Protect design team from randomization:  fit firedrills into existing
   schedule while meeting deadlines
   - If partners need design status reports, send them
   - Drive work with Research and Design Leads to get designs in front of
   user tests

*Endgame:*

   - Attend project War meetings representing design
   - Manage Design Bug triage including assigning bugs to the correct
   people on design
   - Ensure design meets SBB (Spring Bug Bounce) goals for the project
   - Design can never be the reason why a product release or sprint exit is
   held up
   - Lead the team to ZBB (Zero Bug Bounce)
   - Present and promote design change requests at War meetings
   - Drive design testing plan of product builds (e.g. bug bashes)

*Overall:*
Design PMs are not designers. Do not design. Have fun and create a positive
environment where the design team can do their best work. We are not an art
department. Ensure Design is always ahead of Engineering driving incredible
user experiences!

Our team works on the Xbox Console Shell Design team.

*Description:*

We’re looking for a candidate that can bridge the gap between design and
development by implementing pixel perfect designs in code. This person will
work closely with the development team as a UI developer to help maintain
the MVVM architecture, come up with UI solutions, implement UI features,
and fix visual bugs.  About 90% of this person’s time will be spent working
in XAML.  This person can communicate design intent to the developers and
maintain design integrity in the code.  This person can also give feedback
to design on technical feasibility and present alternative solutions when
appropriate.

Key Skills:

·       C#/XAML

·       Windows and Windows Phone development

·       Animation and Visual implementation experience
