*Position:--* *Windows/Linux Administrator* *Location:- Tallahassee, FL* *Duration:- 6+ Months* *MOI:- Telephonic + Face 2 Face* *Need Only USC, GC OR EAD GC* *Responsibilities **include but are not limited to the following:* - Manage all Windows and Linux operating systems and end-user software; - Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet and workstations; - Perform and test routine system backups and restores; - Recommend, schedule and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations and/or purchases; - Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information; - Deploy workstations, servers, printers, encryption systems and all host security systems; - Ensure integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, databases and during data transfer; - Manage end-user accounts, permissions, access rights and storage allocations. *Requirements:* - Experience with platform operating systems including Windows Server 2008, Red Hat Linux and VMware; - Experience with current systems software, protocols and standards, including Active Directory; - Experience in conveying technical information to technical and nontechnical users; - Experience in documenting existing and new processes; - Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably RHEL v6 and above (preferred); - Experience with Domain Name Services (DNS) (preferred); - Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) (preferred); - Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Exchange and/or Office365 (preferred); - Knowledge of or experience with Symantec Enterprise Vault (preferred); - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and 2 years’ experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
