Location: Dayton, OH Duration: 8-12 months *MANAGER HAS STRONG PREFERENCE FOR USC or GC HOLDERS* Data Warehouse Architect Overview: Hadoop Architecture Top Skill Sets: Hadoop reference architecture, HIVE, and Pig. Development of Hadoop reference architecture. At least 2 years of Hadoop architecture and development experience. Experience and understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components such as Kafka, Flume, Sqoop, Pig, Falcon. Data Warehouse Architect Job Responsibilities: Define enterprise data architecture to meet overall needs of business, across analytic systems and services. Maintain business information model and data flow architecture Define and refine data standards / reference architectures for use by specific project teams in developing technical designs. Assess industry standards including HIPAA and ARRA for information models, and incorporate them into the company information architecture standards where appropriate. Provide input into the Meta-Data strategy to describe and administer data, and provide data lineage tracking ability. Develop and maintain data interoperability between source and target systems. Participate in the translation of business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse and semantic layer designs. Design internal and external data interfaces to ensure that database development needs are according to Company standards, HIPAA ARRA. Coordinates with the business team to ensure that the business model is accurately represented. Design and develop a technical architecture for integration of the data warehouse. Design and develop the architecture, roadmap, and standards for the enterprise data warehouse that will align with the customer business and IT objectives. Participate in activities with database analysts and other database personnel to determine appropriate database deployment strategies and parameters to ensure cost effectiveness and system efficiency. Provide technical thought leadership and actively participate in the design, implementation, and roll-out efforts Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analysis, while maintaining integrity and confidentiality of information in accordance with Minimum Use Necessary policies. Make hardware sizing and configuration recommendations. Work with project managers to scope projects and develop a statement of work, project plan, and risk analysis. Perform any other job related instructions, as requested. Data Warehouse Architect Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in information technology, business intelligence or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required. Minimum of five (5) years actively engaged in data architecture and Business Intelligence architecture required. Three (3) years of healthcare data and information management experience preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role required. Experience on large multi terabytes data warehouses required. Expert level work experience in a TeraData environment and traditional relational databases. Expert level working experience using TeraData Utilities (BTEQ, Fast Load, and TPump) Expert level SQL skills. Completed several Business Intelligence project life-cycles. Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity. Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action. Strong Experience with leading a team of people to deliver results. Excellent communication, presentation and written skills. Must be able to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Proven ability to design scalable solutions using traditional and agile method. Strong knowledge of leading concepts in Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Governance and Data Stewardship. Knowledge of Systems Architecture principles and processes. Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and methodologies. In depth knowledge of new techniques, models, processes, methodologies, and plans within architecture disciplines.
