- 5+ years of experience with C# and .Net framework
- 5+ years of experience developing application with core Microsoft
technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Stored procedures, SQL Server Reporting
Services and SQL Server Integration Services).
- 5+ years of experience with Batch management tools such as Tivoli Work
Scheduler (TWS)
- 3+ years of experience Microsoft Enterprise Content Management and
Collaboration technologies
- SharePoint workflow, designer and security framework
- Configure and maintain document libraries, lists, and WSS site
collections and deploy SharePoint applications at the enterprise
level in a
distributed global environment.
- Experience with K2 Blackpearl workflows a plus
- Scripting: PowerShell, Perl a plus
Professional Experience
- 7+ years of solid experience in Business Application Software design
and development
- Experience in SDLC and Waterfall/Agile project methodologies
- Investment management industry experience preferred
- Experience in Finance, Human Resources, Compliance or Legal

Job Description
The Sr. Application Developer will be member of a team of cross skilled
technology professionals that are aligned with the Finance, Human
Resources, Compliance and Legal business units at a leading investment
management firm. This position needs strong front-end application
development as well as back-end data analysis, extraction, transformation,
and loading skills. The primary responsibility of the position is to
understand, support and enhance the company’s application environment,
including upgrading proprietary applications and integrating data with
external vendor platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
including Requirements, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment,
and Post-rollout support
- Build sound technical solutions to meet user requirements
- Develop high level and detailed designs for assigned development
initiatives
- Produce high-quality batch, database and application code in
accordance with established company standards and development guidelines.
- Develop and execute quality assurance routines to ensure quality of
software
- Monitor support requests received throughout the day to ensure that
all critical items are addressed
- Resolve business-technology issues that impact Production processes
and system availability
- Take ownership for the resolution of technical issues for assigned
third-party vendor applications
- Plan, test, and deploy bug fix, enhancement, and upgrade software
releases
- Support creation of detailed project plans, and help monitor and
report on project progress
- Inform manager and user community of progress, issues and concerns
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business users, and
develop a deep understanding of their business and technical requirements
- Create appropriate documentation and provide end user training as
necessary
