Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. (a) Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. (b) Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. (c) Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. (d) Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. (e) Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. (f) Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. (g) Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. (h) Acts as team leader on projects. (I) Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team. (j) Participates in development of software user manuals. *Essential Functions and Responsibilities * PowerBuilder 12.5, MS SQL 2008 R2, Serena Dimension, Knowledge of OPM Budget Process, Ability to write and communicate effectively. Ability to troubleshoot and provide user support for the application. Ability to coordinate recommendations/fixes/solutions with Government personnel. Respond to and correct operational and maintenance issues, system features for existing system functionality, computing/infrastructure evironment, data related issues, system decommissioning activities and implement identified changes/corrections as required. Fulfill ad hoc requests for general inquiries, reports, and data extracts. Modify project live cycle documentation. Ability to create and manage monthly status reports, maintenance logs, meeting agenda/meetings and attend meetings.
