If you find yourself suitable for the position, please send me your latest updated resume along with contact details. *Title: *Jr. Firewall Administrator- 28651 *Requisition Type: *6+ month contract *MOI: *Telephonic+ Face to Face *Visa: *USC/GC and H1B *Location: *St. Louis, MO *Zip: *63108 *Max. rate is $30/hour on C2C* *Required Skills:* · Cisco *Job Description:* · Firewall Administrator (Contract) · Local or Midwest Candidates only!! · Monitor and support security devices and applications, primarily focused on firewall changes, firewall rules analysis, and firewall setup and configuration. *Essential Functions: * · Monitor and review intrusion detection system, firewall logs, and enterprise log management systems. Check for appropriateness of user requests and either remediate issues identified or escalate to the appropriate team member. · Configure and support Firewalls (Palo Alto and/or Cisco ASA). · Assist application teams and other IT operations teams in developing firewall rules, as needed. · Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Linux administration, intrusion detection systems administration (Security Onion), SEIM administration (LogRhythm), and vulnerability scanning and reporting (Rapid 7). *Requirements:* · CCNA-Security preferred · Palo Alto ACE preferred · Regular after-hours work required *Education:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred *Experience: * · 2 years professional hands on experience with intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and routers including policy/ACL creation/review and log review desired · Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems · IT Audit or Project Management background helpful · Demonstrated working knowledge of state, federal, and industry regulations such as HIPAA, PCI, etc. · Knowledge of common protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, KERBEROS, RADIUS, DNS, IKE, IPSEC, SSL/TLS and FTP · Intermediate vulnerability scanning and reporting · SEIM alarm review and tuning *Skills:* · Working experience with either Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls · Demonstrated knowledge and desire to keep abreast of technology and security · Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal customers, clients, and other members of the organization · Clearly and concisely expresses professional opinions with supporting rationale · Knowledgeable in switching and routing—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, IP, Multicast, etc. *Dheeraj Chauhan | Sr. Technical Recruiter | RJT Compuquest* 222 N.
