*Job Description::*
*Mandatory Qualifications:*

(1) Minimum of eight (8) years cumulative experience working as a database
administrator, specifically with Oracle products. RFO C5606855-D – Oracle

(2) Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with database management:
developing, integrating, and deploying enterprise's applications, portals,
and web services.
(3) Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with technical writing including
developing, editing, and publishing all phases of application development.
(4) Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience, within the last 8 years,
working with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control Server.
(5) Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience, within the last 8 years,
working with Data Guard, Recovery Manager, Linux and Windows platforms.
(6) Minimum five (5) years’ experience effectively communicating orally and
in writing in a variety of situations including presentations to various
types of audiences (from users to upper management), facilitating meetings
and conducting technical walkthroughs, leading, coaching and mentoring
staff, providing training, and/or creating various types of business
communication (such as memos, issue papers, status reports).
(7) Minimum five (5) years’ experience leading and planning Information
Technology (IT) systems development projects and maintenance/operations
teams following the systems development life cycle; includes overall
planning activities, scheduling and prioritizing work, mentoring and
training staff, and facilitating meetings.
(8) Minimum five (5) years’ experience in all phases of testing.
*Desirable Qualifications:*

*(1) Advanced skill level with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook to facilitate
written and oral communication such as developing status reports, creating,
and maintaining technical documentation *and communication with team
members, end users, and stakeholders. Basic skill level with Visio to
create and modify logic diagrams and process flow charts to support system
analysis and design activities as well as systems documentation.
(2) Proficient skill level with project management reporting to create and
maintain project schedules such as creating and maintaining work breakdown
structures, sequencing tasks, allocating resources, and tracking progress (
e.g.MS Project
(3) Experience reading, analyzing and/or discussing flowcharts, and
pseudo-code or logic diagrams.
(4) Experience with various operational groups associated with IT –
including job scheduling, output distribution, and data center operations.
(5) Experience developing and maintaining application development systems
for state law enforcement agencies, or other law enforcement programs
specific to state and federal policies and procedures.
(6) Experience in training and mentoring staff and knowledge transfer in
Oracle.
(7) Knowledge of State IT security policies.



*The Oracle DBA Consultant shall be required to perform the following
tasks. The detailed activities and tasks to be carried out in support of
this SOW will be determined and scheduled by the CDCR EIS Systems IDU
Manager, or a selected representative, and assisted by the selected
vendor.1. ObjectivesThe objectives of this Agreement are to provide CDCR
the following:*

 -The Consultant shall provide experienced technical Oracle DBA services
for the successful maintenance, backup, capacity management, disaster
recovery of every Oracle database within CDCR.
 -Consultant shall provide expert advice in partitioning, storing, and
managing Oracle databases within CDCR.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in Disaster Recovery for Oracle
databases when needed.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in trouble management and analysis of
root cause.
 -Consultant shall provide knowledge transfer, training and mentoring of
CDCR staff.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in Audit Vault for the CalParole/
Parole Leads Modification.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in Oracle Access Manager, Oracle 11g
and 12c,ASM, RAC, database tuning and database partitioning.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in Oracle Applications migration from
Unix to ORHL on an Exadata/ODA server.
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in Oracle• Business Intelligence
Enterprise suite (OBIE),
 -Consultant shall provide expertise in install and configure Oracle Golden
Gatesoftware.
