Don't miss a great chance to join a well-established company with a great work environment. *Responsibilities: * · Establish, configure, and support dev environments · Work closely with Senior Management · Support multi-tier Dev, QA, Prod environments · Managing Windows and Linux / Unix servers · OS patches & upgrades · Perform periodic performance reporting / tuning / hardware upgrades *Must haves: * · Strong Linux/Unix Scripting · Cloud Automation · Configuration Management Tools (Chef / Puppet) · Load Balancing · Security · DevOps · AWS / EC2 · Bash or Shell scripting · VPN experience · Cloud AWS · Healthcare experience (PHI Data Handling) *Nice to Have:* · BS / BA in applicable field This is a DevOps Position looking for a candidate who has knowledge in scripting, Cloud Automation and Configuration management tools like Chef & Puppet. *If the guy worked in Cloud AWS and Healthcare experience is an added advantage as he will be familiar with PHI data handling* Experience in the following areas: · Work closely with Senior Management to establish, configure and support a variety of computer environments including super computer clusters; · web application, client/server tools, and database servers; · file servers and data management systems; and research workstations. · Support of both multi-tier dev/test/QA/production environments, as well as research and analysis environments - requiring two very different sets of security and management policies and procedures. · Configuring, securing and managing web container applications for collection of Protected Health Information and/or Personally Identifiable Information. · Managing Windows · Server 2008/2012 and various flavours of Linux/Unix. · Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrading administrative tools and utilities. Configuring / adding new services as necessary. Performing periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. · Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. · Configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. · Instantiating, managing, administering and monitoring Linux and Windows virtual machines residing in Amazon EC2 environment. · Setting up and managing Virtual Private Networks within Amazon Web Services. · Learning new cloud infrastructure and services as needed, and determine best practice and processes in their implementation. · Creating appropriate Machine Images for standardized creation across the enterprise. Using configuration management and scripting for the creation and disposal of cloud resources, utilizing cloud APIs or tools. Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. · Performing daily backup operations to cloud infrastructure, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media. · Establishing and implementing protocols and procedures to ensure data integrity, over time, of petabytes of data.
