• Design custom JIRA workflow for different issues types to assist in
Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well
as other continuous integration workflows
• Responsible for developing plugins and gadgets that extend the JIRA
capabilities using Atlassian Plugin SDK 6.x
• Develop complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen
schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
• Perform the duties of a JIRA engineer and responsible for maintenance,
administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, HipChat and
integrations with other tools or plugins.
• Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports.
*Essential Skills and Competencies:*
• 3-5 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence including tool
administration and customization
• Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom
forms and attributes
• Experience in using/extending REST Services provided by Atlassian.
• Strong work experience in VB Script, Java, JavaScript, XML, JSP, SQL,
PERL, Python and should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile
Kanban/Scrum
• Good Verbal and Written communication skills

• This position is 6+ months in delivering and supporting a technical
solution for Atlassian technologies and requires a person who has expertise
in developing, maintaining and supporting automation workflows in Atlassian
JIRA as well as maintaining other Atlassian products like HipChat,
Confluence and FishEye.
• This position will have current subject matter experience not only in
strategic vision, design and development but also in current deployment
practices.
• He/she will have contacts within the industry that will allow for
continuous updating of industry practice information.
• The key competency may include functional business expertise or area of
technology experience like, automation, continuous build & deploy
pipelines, software release automation and infrastructure automation.
• This position requires 5+ years of experience.
The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand and resolve
issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and the ability to drive projects
to completion.
