Sorry for the delay in replying; I've been taking exams at University.
They're over now, though, so I thought I'd reply to your post.  I hope
this explains what I want to do with Oralux...

I would like to take out most of the existing packages and get the CD
down to below 50M in size.  Then I would like to install a copy of my
game (which is a conversion of Quake for blind players) on top of the
distribution.  The idea is to allow people to play AudioQuake wherever
they are.  The automatic hardware detection is a great feature and I
would really like to keep that.

If the idea really works, I might be able to drop Windows support
directly :-) but for now, I'm simply curious to see if it is possible.

I might be able to set aside some space on my hard disk for temporary
installation.  I read that with KNOPPIX it is possible to install do a
directory on the disk and then chroot into it in order to customise the
package selection, so that an extra partition is not needed.  Is this
the case with Oralux?
