Let's try this again, as first time I posted to the subscription address
First of all, I just joined this list yesterday. Those of you on either the
speakup or blinux lists have some idea of what my linux dreams are.
On my desktop machine I have had speakup running with fedora--and a dectalk pc
for around 18-months. However, the dectalk driver for speakup is quite
sluggish.
So some days ago when I heard of oralux with its support for Yasr, I was
elated. Would an oralux installation enable me to run Yasr on a desktop with a
dec-pc? Otherwise, I would be comfortable with eliquence sounding speech, if
it needs to be software.
I especially want to try Yasr as its keyboard layout is quite similar to
Vocal-Eyes--and maybe some day dictionary support?
On my laptop, I do not have linux yet, but did download your 546mb image.
Thanks so much in advance for helpful suggestions
Hart
