Hello Jim, There is a number of pending mails at the moment. I hope that there will be answered at least in the next weeks.
w3 has been written for emacs and proposes a number of original features which works very well with Emacspeak. The issue is that w3 is no more really maintained at the moment. Some persons complain about instability or its slowliness. w3m is a text based browser written in Japan, and thanks to w3m-el, it is possible to use w3m under Emacs. At the moment, this is not a javascript capable browser. And the HTML table rendering can cause issues using a voice synthesizer since as far as I know there is no direct way to linearize the tables. So if a web page has two colons, the first line of the first colon and then the first line of the second colon will be said. This behavior will be improved.
