Thanks; that worked.  While I'm on the apt subject, it seems it
can't find some of the index files.  I have *always* gotten the
following error when doing "apt-get update":

        E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored,
        or old ones used instead.

        So is that a problem on their end or mine?  Can this be
        rectified?
