I've had packages come from the UK to the US, through the NY/Jamaica station, that got to me about 10 days after they'd been sent by standard Air Mail. They were young seedlings and arrived in great condition.
The various inspection stations are said to vary quite a bit, so that may well have something to do with it. Which station are your customer's plants to be routed through? Michael Gerzog
