In case anyone hasn't heard, the ID fee at Selby Gardens is going up to $25 as of July 1. When the OIC opened originally, it was supposed to be subsidized by AOS so people with awarded species would have someplace to get their plants identified. Now AOS refuses to give them any money. Selby is offering a wholesale price of $125 for ten prepaid IDs. I sent them an e-mail suggesting they sell these "books of tickets" to orchid clubs, which could sell individual IDs at cost or whatever they decide to charge. That way, Selby would get their money and club members would be encouraged to get their orphans properly labeled. Iris
