icones, I appreciate your words. I wasn't exactly sure what you would say. It is true in criticizing "exemption of all hybrids from the CITES" proposal coming from the OSG/IOCC, I was not attacking you. At one point I thought of including "I am not trying to shoot the messenger." I do think a number of other people did not see it this way. I will stop there, and let things sort themselves out as they will.
I do think that the proposal "all herbarium specimens, spirit collections, root tips etc... be specifically excluded from CITES" has direct implications to orchid conservation. While I don't see the same with exempting all hybrids from CITES, I do wish OSG/IOCC success with the proposal. Such is life, Mark Sullivan
